Join us for a special August meeting of BOLD FORK BAKE CLUB featuring baking aficionado Savannah Velasco-Kent of scrapps!

Here’s how it works: Everyone will prepare a sweet or savory seasonal bake. We'll share a list of seasonal produce with you + local growers and markets to shop from. As always, prior to the event, you’ll receive a spreadsheet to list your chosen dish. Then we’ll gather in the shop and share a feast!

With Savannah, we'll talk through the process of procuring seasonal ingredients, challenges and unexpected pleasures of the baking process, and many other things.

And as a bonus, some of Savannah's highly coveted cake slices will be available for purchase exclusively for bake club attendees.

ABOUT SAVANNAH

Savannah Velasco-Kent grew up studying painting from a young age, where she developed an eye for color, texture, composition, and curiosity. although pastry eventually became her medium, that way she looked at the world stayed the same. Her professional career led her into some of the country's most celebrated kitchens, helping build thoughtful, detail-driven pastry programs, including at Lutèce alongside Chef Isabel Coss. At 25, she founded bread scraps, an independent baking brand centered around regional grains, seasonal menus, and the belief that the world surrounding the food could be just as meaningful as the food itself. She is now the founder of scrapss, a pastry and visual studio creating soft, beautiful, strange things through seasonal desserts, design, and storytelling.
