Moreover, it is a glimpse into the mind of the author, who spins out a fantastical tale throughout of the invented nation of Alburria and the society of the Lovers of the Stinking Rose. The book also includes numerous collages from the author, all of which feature the titular bulb.

The dust jacket has some small tears on back cover and minor wear at corners. The spine is slightly sun faded. Interior pages are bright and clear. Binding is sound.
